Caramel Apples

Food just tastes better on a stick!   Combine a fresh picked local apple and some yummy caramel and I am in heaven!  Last week was the trial run for the type of apple and the texture of caramel.   I bought two kinds of apples - green/yellow Silken and good old MacIntosh.  I choose small ones because after the caramel is gone who want's a big naked apple on a stick?  


Today Greg and I cranked out 145 caramel apples for the Creston Valley Fall Fair on Saturday and the Hills Garlic Festival on Sunday.   Here's how it goes...


Wash apples


Rinse apples


Dry apples


Stick in sticks- my thumb hurts


Cook Caramel and Dip







Package and label.

 Bite It!  No talking!
